UG School Students at an International Science Camp in China
From September 18–23, UG School students Elene Gongadze, Tornike Burnadze, Demetre Svianadze, Mate Butskhrikidze, and Vazha Tugushi will travel to Nanning, Guangxi, China, to participate in the fully funded international program The Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop.
UG School supports outstanding students with a strong interest in the natural sciences who have been selected to represent the school in this international program, providing them with an opportunity to further develop their knowledge and interests in an international scientific environment.
This marks the third time UG School has participated in this international program, once again giving our students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an international scientific environment.
As part of the program, our students will join peers from around the world in:
• Scientific and hands-on activities;
• Team-based STEM projects;
• Innovative workshops and experiments;
• Cultural and international exchange activities.
The Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop has been held since 2017, bringing together students and teachers from countries around the world. The program aims to foster young people’s interest in science and innovation, promote the exchange of experience in STEM education, and strengthen international cooperation.
Our students will also have the opportunity to introduce an international audience to Georgia’s culture, traditions, and the scientific potential of Georgian youth.
This experience will help them develop their research, creative, and teamwork skills, discover new ideas, and build international connections.
